The practice is owned and managed by Andy Gay, At the time of opening the practice Andy had spent the last 20 years working for a number of local architects practices and Property developers in an architectural role. Andy's personal CV is listed below.

2021-2025
I was working for Fluid London as an Associate. At this time I was responsible for a team predominantly working on the technical delivery of a number of high end residential schemes for various local and national developers.

2017-2021
I was working for gdm Architects as a senior architectural technician. At this time I was responsible for a number of residential and commercial projects including Costa Coffee drive thru's, a new build Premier Inn in Maresfield, East Sussex and various residential schemes.

2015-2017
I was working for Bond Bryan Architects as a senior architectural technician. At this time I was responsible for a number of education projects including extending Stratton Upper School in Biggleswade to provide a new science block and the Holy Family Catholic School in Walthamstow to provide a new sports hall and additional class rooms. I was also responsible for the planning application for a new multi storey car park adjacent to Canterbury West station. These projects were all designed using 3D BIM modelling software.

2008-2015
Whilst at Axiom I worked on a variety hotel, restaurant and public house projects for the Whitbread Group (Premier Inn) and Marstons PLC, Most notably producing the Planning, building regulations, tender and construction drawings for the conversion of Sir Alan Suger's redundant office building in Brentwood, Essex into a 122 bedroom hotel complete with Restaurant, The construction detailing and building control drawings for a 100 bedroom hotel in Chelmsford, a Beefeater restaurant and Premier Inn Hotel in Uxbridge and 10 Marstons public houses around the country. I was also tasked with overseeing the construction of a number of Premier Inn Hotels in locations including Bury St Edmunds, Basingstoke, Lavington street - London, Hendon, Eastbourne, Brentwood and Maidenhead.
2005-2008
At the beginning of 2005 I was approached by the directors of Fluid design Group to join their rapidly growing team in the Role of Senior architectural technician. During the three years I spent at Fluid Design I was involved In producing planning and construction drawings for a large variety of residential schemes varying from single houses to construction packages for sites of 135 houses and apartments, Including working with Affordable housing and listed buildings.
2002-2004
From 2002 until 2004 I worked as an architectural technician for Peter Taylor Associates in Uckfield, East Sussex. This role gave me the opportunity to gain experience of producing construction drawings and details for a number of the UK's largest property developers including Rydon Homes and St James Homes.
1999-2002
Having left education I was giving my first opportunity to work in an architectural environment within Honeygrove Properties Ltd in house architects department. Honeygrove Properties was principally a high end property developer with sites including Post Office Square, Tunbridge Wells and the Swaylands Estate in Penshurst. In addition to the development side of the business they also had an in house special projects team specialising the refurbishment and alteration of historic and listed buildings.

This project involved the production of the construction information for a number of new build houses and apartments for Taylor Woodrow on Sutton Road, Maidstone

This project involved the conversion of list grade 2 listed house on London Road, Tunbridge Wells into 4 private apartments for Honeygrove Properties Ltd

The project involved extending the existing home in Nevill Park,Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The project included bespoke stonework which had to match the existing exactly to blend the new elements in seamlessly replacing a previous poor quality extension.

Burlington Place was a new build apartment block on Hitchen hatch lane, Sevenoaks, constructed by Rydon Homes

The Clockhouse, West Byfleet involved the conversion of the existing grade 2 listed former nursing home into private apartments for Beechcroft developments. The project also involve the building of 16 new houses and apartments in 2 new mews blocks within the grounds

The project involved converting the Nunnery Fields hospital, Canterbury into private apartments for Taylor Woodrow

Great Durgates was a development of 14 bespoke house and apartments in Wadhurst, East Sussex for Daniel Homes.

Breedons Court, Pangbourne, Reading was a development of 14 new building houses and apartments for Beechcroft developments.

This project involved the conversion of the existing council building in Bury St Edmunds into a new Premier Inn hotel for Whitbread PLC. My role was to oversee the build process which was designed by Thurlow Architects and constructed by Barnes Construction. I was also responsible for designing the restaurant and reception areas.

Clockhouse Mews formed part of the Swaylands estate in Penshurst, Kent. Honeygrove properties started the redevelopment of the whole site which also included the main manor building and farm.

Post Office Square was a development by Honeygrove Properties Ltd in the centre of Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The project involved the conversion of the existing post office building along with new build elements to create a stunning apartment building. All of the apartments were designed to look into the new raised courtyard with parking under.

The Manor was an award winning project involving the construction of 149 new build homes for St James Homes. The Planning application was produced by John Thompson and Partners and my role was to produce the construction information.

New build hotel in the heart of London, working on behalf of Whitbread group to oversee the build which was designed by Penson Architects and design the restaurant and reception areas.


The project involved the redevelopment of a site previously occupied by the Barnwood Hotel in to 14 new houses for Banner Homes.

New build public house / Restaurant for Marstons PLC.

The project involved the design of a new multi storey car park Canterbury, Work as part of a design and build team with Willmott Dixon.

This project involved the construction of several new build homes for Taylor Woodrow in Billingshurst, West Sussex.

This project involved an extension to an existing school to provide a new science block. The original design was by Penorye and Prasad architects and constructed by ISG
